Wisdom
Some decisions come with no rule that fits. Proverbs pictures wisdom calling out in public, worth more than money because it helps people live within God's design. But wise patterns are not guarantees; upright people still suffer, and hard workers can stay poor. Job's friends turned harsh because they treated life's usual patterns as promises. Wisdom is also a costly pursuit, since we begin bent towards trusting ourselves, and memorised rules cannot change the heart that directs a whole life. Jesus is God's wisdom brought near. He died for fools, brings forgiveness, and gives burdened people the rest that self-made wisdom never delivers.
Rules cannot settle every hard choice, so wisdom calls publicly; Jesus invites burdened people to learn from Him and receive the rest only He gives.
Rules cannot reshape the heart from which every choice flows. Jesus, the living Word, changes hearts through His cross and begins to make fools wise.
